Happened to me back in 2.6 when I was giving names to indexes created for cursors, and for some reason they didn't get deleted. So next time I tried to give them the same filename, I started getting that message, because there already was a .cdx file with the same name as the alias.

Just check whether such a file already exists, and delete it. Or name your views differently.
