>I am using NT 4.0 workstation. The NT machine is the only thing that comes up in any part of the network neighborhood. If I look at the network neighborhood on a 95 machine, all of the 95 machines (3) and the NT workstation appear in the workgroup. This is very strange...

This is truly strange, since we ourselves are using a heterogenous network with Windows 3.11, Windows 95, Windows NT 4.0 Workstation, and Windows NT 3.51 Server, (even a couple of Suns!) and *ALL* windows machines can see each other. Well, at first, some of them didn't.

Windows networking really is one of life's great mysteries. Here are a few more suggestions:

Again, check if you can see the other machines under "Network\Entire Network\...".

Also, check your networking protocols. We used to have this problem when we had multiple protocols on our machines, switching to one alone (TCP/IP) fixed everything. Note that certain protocols have their own quirks. TCP/IP, for example, might be quirky if you have your IP addresses aren't set up correctly.

Also check the service bindings. Perhaps file and printer sharing are disabled for the default protocol on your NT machine. Check permissions on sharing, etc.

Good luck!
