I don't use them. As John indicated they can be slow for SQL stuff which I use throughout an app. Although I cannot say for sure, I believe that they have been the cause of some database (*.DBC) corruption in the past when I did use to use them. Since dropping them entirely.....I've notice a huge reduction in corruption and that's reason enough for me.
