Wayne, I did not check the reference Al sent you, but you can download HPGL/2, PJL and PCL reference manuals from Hewlett Packard. You need to sign up in the developers centre and then there are a couple+ of PDF's with the complete references for those languages.

I did this quite a long time ago (like 2 years) so I forgot the exact webpage, etc. but If you can not find them, I can try to find them for you (I just tried and failed misserably, but with more time I should be able to find them)

Well I found it (or a very similar one) and no need to sign up (which was a good thing for I can not seem to remember my user name/password :)
