>You need to realize that Microsoft doesn't want VFP developers to learn .NET - it wants ALL developers to learn .NET. That includes VB developers, some of whom felt 'alienated' by .NET. And there are more VB developers and VB apps out there than there are VFP apps. And as angry as some VBers (and some VFPers) are, I know many who dusted off their knees and learned .NET.
