He basically told everybody who signed the letter that they'd be fooling themselves by thinking that signing this letter has any impact.

That's his opinion. He seems to think that signing a cheque that purchases VFP 8.0 is far more powerful than signing this letter.

I completely agree. In fact when 8.0 came out I bought several copies with cash out of my pocket even though I didn't need them. If you want to win the game you need to do it right.

In fact, that reminds me its probably a good time to buy another copy, just for the hell of it. When VFP 9.0 comes out I'll do the same thing.

Lets see, shop.microsoft.com, click on Developers. VFP 8 is right there. $350. Its the price you pay but it makes a point. Plus its $200 cheaper than Visual Studio. Woohoo!

Craig: you could have argued your position with considerably less elitism. Just some advice.
