If you don't prerecord words (like tape recorder) you should look for Text-To-Speech ( = TTS ) feature. Basically it is like you write a text and then computer speak it to you. MS Agent can do that very well too.

Which version of VFP you have? There is a MS Agent demo in VFP solutions, you might look that first!

Just browse the MS Agent site and run the demo. There is one 3rd party solution even MS mention in their site http://www.microsoft.com/msagent/prodinfo/resources.asp (Bonzi) you can download it and see what it does, all tha can be done with VFP too.
