Absolutely. I have a high-speed laptop that originally came with 256 MB of memory, and yet VS.NET Development mode was quite sluggish. When I upgraded to 512 MB of memory, it made a huge difference.

I think everyone knows those, but just in case - run-time requirements for users are less. My tester machine has 192 MB of memory, and apps run OK (a little slow at app startup, but OK otherwise).
