I have written a simple application to keep track of notes for patients. The file has only a few fields, name, date of last entry, complete flag and a memo field that gets updated regularly. I have recently started having an infrequent error that the memo file is corrupt and must be repaired. I believe that the problem is really that the dbf and index is really corrupted because when I look at the number of records before and after the repair, the number of records decreased.
There are four users of the program. The files reside on a Win98 Second Edition computer, but the other three users are running on Win XP Pro. The data is shared via a drive mapping. Is there any known problem with this configuration. I did the development on Win XP Pro and have never been able to create the problem stand alone.
