Personally, I use the Visual Extend framework. You can get the sample for free, from their download page http://www.visualextend.de/visualextend_en/default.htm, but note that this is a commercial application. That means that the download is intended for you to evaluate their product, but you are not supposed to use the code for your own products, unless you pay a license.

Visual ProMatrix, I believe, also lets you evaluate their product for free.

The Mere Mortals framework is very popular (also commercial); I don't know whether you can get a free sample, for evaluation.

Some frameworks are really free; the CodeBook is quite famous. I let you do the searching. On Google, perhaps.

Also, some developers have posted their own frameworks, for free. If you check the download section, for "framework", you will get several hits.

While you evaluate some of those frameworks - commercial or free - think about two possibilities. 1) The possibility of eventually using the entire framework for your development work. This can save you lots of work. 2) If you prefer to create your own framework, the samples can still show you how a framework solves certain problems. (However, note that it is safer, legally, not to copy large amounts of code from the commercial framework samples.)

HTH,

Hilmar.
