I could be missing something here, and I know from past experience you have an interesting keyboard layout in Italy (not as bad as Spain, but I digress), but how are you getting the ellipsis character directly from the keyboard?

I can go to Word and type Alt+0133 and get ... and yes that is ASCII 133, which is also what I get from
? INKEY(0) and go for F11

Have I missed the point?

I think from long-distant memories that once upon a time the PC keyboard only had 10 function keys, and then it was the PC/AT layout that introduced F11 and F12, but by then there were no spare codes to assign to them. I'm sorry this is vague, but it's a few years since a PC/AT megalith sat on my desk.
