Thank you for your feedback. I suppose that the string displayed is an odbc trace? That explains why the trouble sometimes occurs on MS SQL server as well (you have to store the binary info as server TEXT base format to clear it).

I expect we have no clean solution when mapping binary data straight into server blobs (:

Possibly we should report this as a bug to the MS VFP. But i should say that i'm not very comfortable with reporting a tricky VFP<->firebird difficulty to MS.
