Hi Steve,

I've used the 3 of 9 barcode previously with good results ( The barcode only contained 8 characters ). I am currently working on an app that requires barcoding and have found 3of9 to have a problem when printing a large number of characters ( the most I could get it to scan was 17 characters ). My experience was that the more characters in the barcode then the wider that barcode needed to be ( I was initially under the impression that the bars would get closer together as the number of characters increased ). I found that when the barcode got to 17 characters the barcode would be too wide for the scanner to read correctly. Hopefully someone else with barcoding experience can prove me wrong as I'd really like to use 3of9 for my current project.

Hope this helps,
Gavin.

>Thanks, I was leaning towards EAN128 but if 3of9 gives me a good representation of every character, that is probably best for my app (since I
will barcode GUIDs).
