We have a lot of barcoding happening around, but it was all solved before I came aboard, so no insight from me here.
Actually, the opposite... what would it be, inblind?
The thread title confused me completely. First I thought it's about a barcode device used in education. Something like hypnagogics, learning in your sleep, but this time you have 'em 'trodes attached to your head on one end, and a barcode scanner on the other.
No, that wouldn't be it, I just read too much SF. Oh, there's some need to be educated in the Code of the Bar. But I don't see JVP mentioned, and while The Bar probably has some code, nobody would ask for education about it on this forum.
Hey, maybe I'm thinking of the wrong Bar? Maybe it's just the bar. There's probably some code about it... nah, just go in and have a drink, why would they have such a complicated code that needs extra education?
Is it just me, not doing my permutations of possible meanings fast enough, or catching glimpses of meanings where there are none before I hit the right one, or is ambiguity just an endemic species of this language?
Just venting, sorry folks. Had a nasty one of this kind today, where I knew the exact word I needed to insert in the specs, and I knew it in three languages. Unfortunately, in English I knew six words, and all of them were wrong, because their primary meanings could lead the reader in the wrong direction. There was no best solution, only the least bad one.
