My home machine has Windows XP Home on it, AMD Athlon, ASUS motherboard. I periodically get odd error conditions:

1) Sometimes I get the "Windows has recovered from a serious error ..."
2) Once in a while the machine will just reboot for no apparent reason

This is all very sporadic, no rhyme or reason. My tendency would be to suspect a memory problem or driver problem ( it does have a pretty generic mouse on it which I wonder about ).

Is anyone familiar with this problem, the probable causes and what can be done about it?
