I know you'll find this hard to believe, but my VFP blew up with a C000005 message the other day <g>. I closed everything out and rebooted my computer to clear out the cobwebs. When I went back into VFP 7, I noticed things were kinda different.. like I had absolutely no icons, the system no longer "remembers" where I've been, Intellisense doesn't make any ... etc. I'm slowly resetting my settings (can anyone tell me how to get the FULL intellisense working i.e., I don't want just the syntax for messagebox but all the possible values!) but have one problem that is interfering with the application I'm developing.

Here it is: if a user enters a value in a selection field, I'll check the related table and see if that value is "valid" for this selection. (For example, if you're entering a date parameter for a report, I check that the table contains records for that date. If not, I give the appropriate message and return a .f. from the valid(), returning the user to the field to re-enter. This had worked very well until the crash. Now, in addition to and AFTER my messagebox, the application displays a message at the bottom of the screen which reads "Invalid input. Enter to continue." Does any one know what to set to prevent this message from appearing????? Not only is it aggravating, but the print is so small and light that we missed it the first few times around and thought the program was "locking up". Needless hours spent troubleshooting that! But I don't want this behavior and can't find any reference to it to turn it off. Any help would be appreciated.

TIA, Vicki
