I need to position some text in a field based on it's aligment, font and font size. For example, I want to place "Universal" at the left and "Thread" at the right, using Arial 10 points and with a text lenght of 3.5". The result is not printed, it is to be stored in a field.

The result should look like this:

I need to insert spaces between the words to align them, but I can't find any function that will give me the real length in inches of a given text. TXTWIDTH and FONTMETRIC works in pixels. Any function to convert from pixels to inches?
