Go to google and type in "invalid seek offset" and you will find many reasons why you can get the error message.
Do not think because the error message has seek in it that it is always related to a index corruption problem. I got it a few weeks ago from a new Dell printer my client installed on the network. The Dell driver does not play well with VFP and XP, they had to go to an HP printer.
