You can create a redirection table with two fields: InternalPrinterName and ActualPrinterName. Also give users an option screen where they can change printers assigments.

And, I can't use a name anymore because XP now renames network printers and you cannot change the name i.e. WorkOrder is changed to WorkOrder on Servername.
