I don't think I can help you with your problem but it sounds like the pdf driver is putting something into the file that the printer is haveing trouble digesting. Has the printer driver been changed recently? (or perhaps the network spooler?)

I have wanted to output to PDF format for a long time and have never found a suitable way to do it. Can you offer any more detail on how you do it? Specifically, which Adobe package do I need and how is it set up?
