I am trying to build a report that contains data from 3 files in chained relationships. IE. file1 is related to file2 and file 2 is related to file3. The data from file3 appears in the detail band of the report. Data from file1 is in the Group1 band and data from file2 is in the Group2 band.

I have tried building this report from scratch and I've also tried using the one to many wizard. Since the wizard will only accomodate 1 of the relationships, I have then manually added the third file and the required relationship. I have tried this starting with file2 and file3 and also with file1 and file2. In both cases the report does not step through the records in the latter file that I added by manually.

I have tried setting this up in the data environment and also with a blank data environment with the relationships established outside of the report. Nothing seems to work.

Does anyone know what controls functionality of the report so this can be corrected?
