Mario , the problem is that VFP 3.0 takes a lot of time to instantiate objects - one of the improvments VFP5.0 offers is faster instantiation

another thing that can help is adding more memory

if you are using forms with pages - u can have them open more quickly if
you will initialize each page only the first time it opens (this technique was discussed here about a month ago)
