Chris, the 'official' answer is Craig's, that there is a corrupt index. However, if you've checked all the indexes then start checking hardware. At one client with repeated ISO errors on 3 machines (out of about 20), we tracked it down to a combination of: a bad network card, HPLaserJet 5 printer drivers (use the HP4 drivers, even for an HP5 printer) and a bad network cable. Once all these were corrected the ISO errors stopped.

TechNet did have an article about certain Symantec software causing this error because of a conflict somewhere, but I couldn't find the article today.
