Mike, what settings do you have for your connection object ?

Asynchronus ? (uncheck this one)
Batch processing ?

Also, Do you use a remote view ?
If yes, then do you create it like this :
"Create Sql View VIEWNAME Remote Connection CONNECTIONNAME SHARED AS Select * from..."
