Title:
CrystalReportViewer
If I admit that I am a newbie to VB .Net will that solicit some humor to the seasoned veterans? Currently, I have been successful in utilizing CrystalReportViewer in my WinForms solutions. The simple Crystal 9.0 reports (without formulas, groups, queries, and other advanced devs) work fine within my VB .Net application.
However, my more complex Crystal 9.0 reports do not run within my VB .Net applications without error messages. For example: I created a formula "Add2" that concatenates strings. Withing Crystal Reporter this works fine, but within .Net it explains that the field name is not known. Additionally, it informs that the Group1 is unknown and etc.,
Seems I stumbled on a plethora of challenges, because referencing these within MSDN library was like convincing my wife that I was out all night with the guys. Two days later, I'm still sleeping on the couch trying conjur up a CrystalReportViewer solution.
By the way I am using the Crystal_Managed2003.msm; Crystal_Database_Access2003.msm; Crystal_Database_Access2003_enu.msm; and Crystal_RegWiz2003.msm in .Net 2003.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
