Within my application there is a SQLconnection, SQLadapter, and a SQLdataset referencing the same database as my Crystal reports. My simple reports (no formulas, groups, and query) work fine; however, when I use a report with a formula it bombs out.
I am setting the CrystalReportViewer1 properties to point to a developed report on a network folder. If I remove the formula and groups and just have the fields placed on the report, then it works.
So, I am not sure what you define as "runtime", because my understanding is that when I call an external Crystal report the database DSN controls the connectivity solution and not the .Net application. The DSN to the database in question is located within each client station's "System DSN" section
