Claude,

Please go back and read what I posted. I never expressed any offense about people's desires/lack of interest to move to .NET.

I'm glad as well that there's new functionality in VFP9, and I like the product as well. I applaud all the work that Ken and YAG and the rest of the team did to get 9 going - yet I do fail to see why the EPS post casts negative light on this.

There's nothing 'new under the sun'...most of the links on the new EPS web site refer to white papers that have been available for awhile on moving from VFP to .NET. FoxPro Advisor has had columns for months on ascending the .NET learning curve. Again, I ask...why specifically is everyone so critical of an endeavor that may ultimately serve the interests of some developers here?

I use both products and SQL Server in my consulting work. That's the point I've been trying to drive home, that those who can transfer skill sets and capabilities to new technologies in demand are potentially better off in the market place.

I'm not at all offended, just being realistic and candid. With each passing quarter, more and more organizations are developing transition plans to move from VFP to new technologies like .NET. That is a FACT...and IMO the acceptance of which is at the heart of much of these reactions.

Kevin
