I've had System works 2002, 2003, and 2004 and have never thought it was quirky. No experience with ME.
But, I'd try Windows update. When going back to those disks, you probably overwrote some code that has been updated. You might even have partial updates in place if you didn't wipe out the drive first.
>I was trying to install Norton SystemWorks 2003 on my PC that I suspected was infected with viruses. Well, I did that, removed the viruses, and then the PC totally ran slow. When I would restart it, it was just sit there with an hourglass and wouldn't do anything...
>
>So I used my emergency recovery disks to reinstall the original software and OS. I did this, and everything was well. I installed SystemWorks 2003... ran slow again with the same symptoms as before.

>So I used the recovery disks again. Everything worked fine. I tried to install just Norton Antivirus 2003, and the same thing happened... ran slow.

>Any suggestions or recommendations? I know that Windows ME can be really quirky and so can Norton Systemworks. I have no clue what to do next...
