You are right. Thanks for these precisions. My point was actually about all those peoples that bought into VB 7+ years ago and invested their time in learning DAO, ADO, RDO, etc. because it was the trend. Now, they have to learn a completely new platform. And that place them no more better than the "average" VFP developper.
Before switching to a new platform or a new language, we should not base our judgment only on the current trend, but on technical merit. For the kind of development I'm doing, VFP is the best. .NET comes close but ADO.NET in its current state require a lot of code to do the same things. With .NET 2.0 it seems that data access ease of use will be much improved.
