I know this must be really simple, but I'm not getting it. I have the simplest program:

do tryit.mpx
read events

when I compile tryit.exe and run it from within vfp (7)
it waits on the read events

when I run it from the command line it doesn't wait.

I don't no why it bypasses my read events when run from the command line
The menu is very simple it just has a file/exit pad with command of 'clear events'

I've seen many posts on here where people say that their program exits - when they don't have a read events, but I have one, and it still exits.
