I found my problem. I had a config.fpw that had a SCREEN = OFF.
It was generated by the application wizard

screen = off = disaster (at least for me)

>>The usual cause of this is the lack of a READ EVENTS. Now, you state that you have used it. If the READ EVENTS is set up properly, if you call the application from within VFP, the Command Windows should not appear while your application is running. So I ask you: does the Command Window appear?
