This one's a bit of a rub, as you see, and I'm not quite sure how to solve it.

The problem is MsgSvc() creates VFP windows, so invoking it will fire Deactivate() and Activate(), which normally is quite alright <s>.

Do you know a way (or a kluge) that can bring up a VFP window but doesn't fire the De/Activate() methods?

At a different level of abstraction, perhaps the design of modal forms should not assume that Activate() is a singular event because, as we see here, modals can launch other modals.

I wish there was a way for MsgSvc to holler something like "it's quite alright boys, I'm running in the same process of this particular form".
