A couple of things we have found so far.

1. Any filter set in the DE of a form is ignored. See Garrett's sample code message#912007.
2. Hit Return after inputting filter in expression builder dialogue breaks the filter. Wraps to the next line in the memo field. Errors at runtime.
3. All filters require an = at the start of the expression in 9, but not in 7 or 8.
