If you did not use ActiveX components that will need to be registered or if you use some but know how to register them programatically you can prepare your VFP8 migration...
The runtime libraries will have to reside on the each PC or in the same location as your app (even if will be launched over the network).
But as a workaround you can prepare your migration by putting the runtime files somewhere on the network and modify your current VFP5 app to copy the RT for VFP8 in the %WinDir%\System32 of your app so when you will distribute the compiled VFP8 app will run.

There are 100's of users that will be using these newly compiled apps and one of the selling points is that each work station does not have to run an install... right? I can just copy the run-time files to somewhere on the network (hopefully just one location) and all of my apps (in many locations) can find the run time. Does it work this way? How does my app know where to look for the run time files?
