"Personally I hate a browser interface to a database and prefer a more robust fat client type of GUI, but then again I am also ancient in IT terms. I'm sure that .NET can be used to build any desktop application that is required for any business, big or small, but I know that there are other tools that can also do that and many that can do it easier and better. "


Our firm decided a new project in .NET and I tell they what you said. I think so the project will fails. Because users won't like a web based environment and developing in .NET too slow a small softwarehouse like us.

But .NET winds prevent folks sensible think. :(
