Interesting post Claude.

Whatever is said by individuals we should never forget this. Frequently there are hidden agendas. Officially they'll tell us that it's for the well being of the community. To help us get there easily but underneath it all there are big $$$$$$ for the pioneers. It's another part of business. No matter what, we have to get the money before others get it. The product or service has no importance. They want $$$$$$. Eventually VFP developers will move on to something else. Whey it happens they want to make sure that we'll go their route instead of another.

>Maybe he should have said "high-profile, Microsoft affiliated well known names". IOW, these guys see a profit(conversions, conferences, etc.) in pushing the latest stuff coming out of MS, not necessarily for the good of the community(And really there's nothing wrong with that - I think we should just see it for what it is). But these guys only represent a tiny fraction of all the talented vfp developers there are who aren't necessarily jumping on the .NET bandwagon...
>>I know I just snipped a portion of your reply, but it does make me wonder why these "most well known names in VFP" would join that specific team? That was somewhat of a rhetorical question as it feels that they are doing so because that's the direction things are moving; away from Foxpro.
