If there are controls on a form which are not bound to data then in order to get them to respond as if they were you set the form.lignoreboundproperties to .f.

There may be some interaction there, so try setting .lignoreboundproperties the opposite way. If all else fails sub-class the Save button refresh and enable it based on the .lischanged flag.
