>>>As somebody who programmed VB for a long time, I can tell you for many types of db-apps - VB was in fact - BETTER than VFP. Why in some cases was it better? Often, there was a good deal of technical justification. But in other situations, it was simply the fact that VFP was not an acceptable platform. Reasonable or unreasonable - that is they way it was - and is.

>>Walter,
>VB turned out to be a better choice becuse the data was remote AND, VB integrated better with ADO. Support for events, etc. Because stored procs where used, issues with not having scan..end scan, replace, etc - on the client were of no consequence.
Yeah, of course VFP does not have the ability to connect to remote data huh ?
Of course, you make comparisons the way which suits your best. Beeing objective and look at all aspects is too difficult for you.
>For the time being, I am outta here - but will watch. The entertainment value put forth by people like you is too good. The last few days have been fun.
I hope you´ll have more success in your lawyer business, but given the logic you handle, I fear the most for the clients which are going to hire you in a momentum of insanity. It has been fun to see you make yourself ridiculous again.
