O.K, I did not quite get that. However, with VFP, despites calvins rather weak attempt, it can be done far more efficient and shorter. I can get the core mechanism in just 14 lines of VFP code and the total example under the 25 lines, so the number of lines is not making a case for that programming language. However of course as you said it shows how things can be done in a functional language like haskel.
