rptform.dbf - header and footer data - open this in area 1
rptdata.dbf - the detail band data - open this in area 2
testrpt.frx and testrpt.frt - the wayward report files

Just preview the report from area 2. By the way, I notice that I have the test data without memo fields. This was just another part of my testing to see if the use of memos was the issue, which is wasn't. Just long strings.
