Hi Jos,
Ken Levy quite clearly wrote a few months ago in another thread that any discussion about the subject can only hurt. I do not recall his exact words.
>Tore, I do not recall MS saying that discussion about future versions is detrimental. I do recall some posts that whining about the level of marketing effort for VFP will do no good since the marketing strategy has already been explained.

>In any event, a development tool requires, amongst other things, a long term commitment in learning and therefore discussions about future versions must be acceptable. I dont think MS have said to not discuss future versions. MS can choose to comment or not on any discussion but to say we should not discuss it for fear of somehow hurting the product seems absurd. Are you sure MS have stated this? I dont think so.

>>I understand your worry, and you are surely not alone. However, the future of any product is always uncertain. But Microsoft has made it quite clear that any discussion about the future of a product will never do any good, only hurt.

>>>Sorry ... no offense means. as VFP Developer I need to be "cleared" about VFP future ... yeah, I'm just curious & really want to know about Microsoft plans for VFP in the future.
