>Sorry ... no offense means. as VFP Developer I need to be "cleared" about VFP future ... yeah, I'm just curious & really want to know about Microsoft plans for VFP in the future. I know that VFP will be supported until 2014. Is SUPPORTED means "GUARANTEE" there will be another version of VFP (VFP 10/VFP.NET) ?
"VFP will be supported until 2014" simply means that they will continue helping to solve problems, and - if there are serious problems - perhaps issue service packs - until that year. All this, for a specified version.
If a later version appears, then that will have support for 10 years or something from the date it appears.
I would not worry too much; you can continue writing applications in Visual FoxPro 8, or even Visual FoxPro 6, and they will continue working 10 years from now.
Assuming that your clients, or potential clients, continue using Windows.
