Hi Wayne
I was not trying to advocate for a switch. I was simply sharing information about another product that I thought might interest VFP programmers. I am always looking at what is "out there" and thought I would pass along some of my discoveries for the benefit of others. I have discovered a number of interesting products that I now use because someone mentioned it here on the UT and I followed up the link.
There are a number of database products available so I do not know what all the fear if about if MS stops developing VFP. I am quite interested in learning DOT.net but there are a number of products that could easily be used in the work that I do.
Regards,
Simon
>Seems odd that you would be pushing a switch to something that you have no experience with - and that costs quite a bit more than VFP. What would make someone want to go this route?

>>Several years ago I tried the demo version but at the time the selling price was ~$3000.00 so I did not purse it. So the short answer is no.

>>I know a number of Clarion developers moved to this platform and are happy with the move. There are now competitive upgrades which reduces the price considerably.
