I didn't say that error should be ignored but merely pointed to the help topic that explains difference in the behavior between VFP8 and earlier versions. It also covered in INFO: Data Reliability Enhancements in Visual FoxPro 8.0 mskb #814131. I agree with you, that error shouldn't be ignored but fixed.
