I'm baffled.

My Win2K server (which I use as a web application staging server) is suddenly unable to browse the internet and many applications are not running (or running very slowly) which I THINK is a consequence of this connectivity problem. It also takes forever to boot.

The odd thing is, you can connect from the internet to browse the hosted web sites and applications, and I can connect using RDP and VNC - so incoming traffic seems OK.

I can't bring up 'network connections' so it's hard to diagnose - but I can't imagine what to check, anyway.

Event Log has some startup services timing out because they took too long to start.

Any suggestions? NIC maybe?
