I'm working on a project at a company with a sizeable QA dept. We are in the process of upgrading one of our main apps from VFP5 to VFP8.
One of the QA guys just tracked me down to say that he wasn't happy about something in VFP8. He has a tool to simulate errors. For one of his simulations, he enters a task into the tool that says that when the program tries to access a particular BMP thats the icon for a form, return a "File access denied" error.
If he simulates the error in VFP5 the app starts okay. If he simulates the error in 8, the app just hangs. Restarting without the QA tool running gives an "Index does not match table" error.
Now the QA guy is going to start blabing to everyone that VFP8 is not as stable as VFP5.
Has anyone had any experience with this type of issue?
