Had to move on so I've removed the second INDEXSEEK() for the time being. I assume you were only getting a C5 with two INDEXSEEKs in the procedure ? We've certainly not seen a problem using just one - but, although there are many clients, they're only appending single records; there are no 'bulk' appends.

I'll go back to this when I have time - maybe a SELECT would work.
