Could be a doc error. The help says in the conversion table that the vertical axis respresents the source data type and the horizontal the target. However, what I see appears to indicate that it's the reverse. In using the horizontal axis as the source, the indication I see is that that it's only partially supported with possible data loss.

I'm sure VFP doc is correct:
Check M -> C and C -> M casting.

But even if the Documentation was mistaken,
to me does not interest, the CAST function is mistaken.
