Hi Jim.

However, the form that I am working on still exhibits the problem. The TreeView control only works if both the caller and the called form are modeless. If either or both are modal, the TreeView control does not respond to keyboard or mouse input.

I wish I could help you out here. My TreeView form works just fine whether or not the caller is modal. In all cases, the pop-up form with the TreeView on it is modal.

Are you instantiating your forms as SCX or VCX? I am instantiating all of my forms as VCX. If your forms are SCXs, you may want to try a SaveAsClass and try instantiating them as VCX. However, since you say that one of your forms works fine and the other doesn't, it seems unlikely that this is your problem. About the only thing that I can suggest is that you start removing things one at a time from the form that doesn't work until it begins working again.

Sorry I could not be more helpful.
