Think of all the positive implications! Everyone will have to buy new computers, software development tools, and all applications will have to be rewritten. That will mean new jobs for IT. Wow!
As we do not have the number of developers required to do rewrites for all applications may I suggest 24 hour days/7 day weeks, to make up the shortage? Management will like that! No overtime. A burial plan is available at employee expense.
What fine fellow was talking about using only the latest technology or get a new job? My oh my – he must worship Microsoft! On second thought he must worship himself first and Microsoft second.
